Bluegrass Harmony
was founded in September 2012 by a group of eight women –
all seasoned and experienced barbershop singers – whose goal was
to build a new chorus focused on friendship, fun, and the art of
barbershop singing.

The chorus made its public debut performing at Christmastime in the
community and word quickly spread. Since then Bluegrass Harmony
has entertained audiences at a variety of venues, including: the annual
conference of the Kentucky Association of School Business Officials at
the Galt House, Shelbyville “Taste and Tunes” Festival, at the opening
of a University of Louisville baseball game, the Frankfort Avenue
Trolley Hop, and the Middletown Family Fun Fest. Additionally,
Bluegrass Harmony was one of five finalists at radio WXMA 102.3
(The Max’s) search for the ‘Best Choir in Kentuckiana.’

On October 14, 2015, Bluegrass Harmony received their much-anticipated chapter charter from Harmony, Inc., an international women's barbershop organization. Today, Bluegrass Harmony is composed of women of all ages, from various parts of Kentucky and southern Indiana. The chorus is active in the community and available to perform for a variety of audiences, including church groups, social clubs or organizations, businesses, and for organized fundraising events.

On August 16th 2015, Bluegrass Harmony was proud to announce our new director, Ms. Pam Ringo! Pam has
a deep passion for Barbershop music and brings a wealth of talent and experience to our chorus. She is a talented
quartet coach, music team leader and a Regional Sweet Adelines quartet Champion. We are thrilled to have her
and start a new journey together!

Bluegrass Harmony is always interested in expanding its membership. In keeping with the Harmony, Inc. motto, “A Blend with Friendship,” women from all walks of life are welcome. You will find information on our Contact Us page!
